Collection: Ceylon Tea
Bright, brisk and beautifully balanced, Ceylon tea is grown across the hills of Sri Lanka, the island once known as Ceylon. Our collection brings together black teas from Sri Lanka's Dimbula highlands, Kelani Valley and Battagalla estate: teas for a classic breakfast cup, an afternoon pot or a tall glass of iced tea.

Buying Ceylon tea
Which Ceylon tea should I buy?
- Dimbula Highland (organic): bright and brisk, with flowery, fruity notes.
- TC Orange Pekoe: medium strength and full of flavour, from the Kelani Valley. Lovely with milk.
- Battagalla Ceylon: light and elegant with a citrus aroma, best enjoyed without milk.
- Pettiagalla Ceylon: large leaves with a nutty, malty character, made for breakfast.
Region and grade
Each of Sri Lanka's tea regions gives its teas a distinct character, shaped by altitude and the island's two monsoon seasons. Wondering about 'Orange Pekoe'? It describes the leaf grade, not a flavour, and our guide to tea terminology explains more.
Sizes and gifting
Most of our Ceylon teas come in 50g, 100g, 250g and 500g paper pouches, ideal for refilling your signature tin. Ceylon is also the heart of our classic Earl Grey, a natural next cup for Ceylon lovers.
Where to buy our Ceylon tea?
