Buying a tea tin

Which tea tin should I buy?

  • Signature Tea Tin: our classic tinplate tin in black or cream, the perfect partner for our loose leaf pouches.
  • Daily and Devotee Tea Tins: everyday tins, with the Devotee sized for larger amounts of tea and tea bags.
  • Designer tins: decorative tinplate tins, many by German teaware designers Eigenart, in a changing selection of designs.
  • For bulk tea: larger tins for stocking up on your favourite tea.

What size tea tin do I need?

Tin sizes are given in grams of tea, and light, leafy teas take up more room than dense ones. Our Signature Tea Tin holds 150g to 200g, depending on the tea, so it comfortably takes a 100g pouch. For larger refills, choose one of our larger tins.

Refills and gifting

Our loose leaf teas come in paper pouches made to refill your tin, and you're welcome to bring your clean tin into a Tea Centre store to top it up. A tin filled with a favourite tea also makes a lovely gift.
