Just like the man, this tea from Snowy River (up the Victorian Alps side) is mountain bred and has the staying power to keep one in high spirits throughout a long day. A cuppa that’s best and boldest on its own through morning, noon, and night.

Alpine sencha flourishes among the Victorian Alps, where the growing conditions are similar to those in Japan’s sencha-producing regions. As a result, this loose leaf has the same classic green tea taste with a unique oceanic twist. We pluck the loose leaves in the same fashion as its Japanese counterpart: only the buds and upper leaves make up this tea.

Australian Sencha Tea is best enjoyed whilst hiking through the mountains. This tea is perfect as is without the addition of sweeteners.

How to brew

Steep for 2 minutes in 80C water. We recommend using 1 teaspoon per 200ml.

I’d love to review this tea but……. .

"I’d love to review the tea, it’s one of my favourites, that’s why I re-ordered it, but it did not come with my order. I rang The Tea Centre but was very nicely told that because it was an online order (I live 1000kms from Sydney) they could do nothing. I had to contact the warehouse. I was given an email address. You can’t ring them apparently. Then Cyclone Alfred intervened. I have decided it’s not worth my time or effort."
