A traditional brew with earthy tasting notes, Genmaicha Tea is an unmistakably toasty blend of bancha leaves and toasted or 'popped' granules of brown rice. An intricate balance of savoury and nutty flavours, Genmaicha pairs well with savoury and spicy dishes.
Genmaicha Tea is best enjoyed as a palate cleanser alongside a savoury meal. This tea is perfect as is - the savoury flavours in this brew may be marred by the addition of milk and sweeteners.

"Love the mix of popped and unpopped rice! I'm new to drinking nice green tea at home. This was definitely beginner friendly :) Loved the gentle nutty flavour from the rice and the subtle green tea flavours! If you're using a metal strainer with really fine holes, rinse it quickly or the popped rice sticks to it."
— Talia S. (5/5)
