Our strongest, most gutsy black tea to date, Assam Dimakusi Tea is a single origin Assam, produced using the Crush Tear Curl (CTC) method for a rich and malty brew. This tea's broken tea leaves are rolled into tight balls during the manufacturing process, which then unfurl when brewed to release maximum flavour.

Assam Dimakusi Tea is best enjoyed whilst reading the morning newspaper. This tea is perfect as is, or can be enjoyed with a splash of milk and sweetener of your choice.

How to brew

Steep for 3-5 minutes in 95C water. We recommend using 1 teaspoon per 200ml.

A bloody nice tea!

"This tea has a lovely classic tea flavour with a slightly astringent & malty back note. It brews very quickly due to the way it is produced…. the leaves a torn & rolled into tiny little balls…. it looks like chocolate 100s & 1000s. You may literally only need a brew time of a minute to a minute and a half & because of this, I suspect you will get at least 2 very good brewing out of your tea, I have however, yet to test this hypothesis…. This tea is strong enough to knock the spots off a leopard. They also sell Broken Orange Pekoe here that has a very similar flavour profile, but is lighter in flavour…will only knock half the spots of that poor old leopard. If you like this tea, you are very likely to like the other one just as much. All in all, both these teas are absoloutely awesome & both have a place in my tea cupboard."
