Teas with a hint of roses are among the more classically flavoured floral teas that originated in China, where they are also known as Meigui Hongcha. During production, red rose petals and tea leaves are added alternately, until the desired taste is achieved. In this way, the tea becomes full-bodied, floral and slightly sweet in character.
